I am taking LeBron, but I think Harden will win it because MVP voters tend to ignore LeBron's greatness.

Durant deserves consideration but he won't get any

Forget Harden, he will mail it in late in the season like always.

Gotta go with Lebron. Not just because of what he's doing, but the age he's doing it at.

Depends on the final regular season standings IMO.

Harden if Houston somehow finishes ahead of the Warriors. Lebron if otherwise

Jimmy butler

Wolves haven't been in the playoffs for 14 years

That alone trumps logic and stats

If his numbers stay at career highs like they are, I doubt the voters will ignore it this time around. Enough time has passed to lose their fatigue. If the they dip to average Lebron (which is still better than basically everyone), they'll vote Harden

We shall see.

I don't have much faith in MVP voters getting it right. They rarely do.

After watching them head to head last night there is no doubt that Westbrook is still better than Harden.

More talented?

Definitely.

Better? No.

Gotta be LeBron at this point. Guy is playing at a level we haven't seen him play at in his 15th season. Truly unreal.

Lebron
Harden
Giannis
KD
Cousins

Lebron and Harden gotta be the top two because of the records of their teams. Although I think KD's made some strong headway towards that with his incredible stretch with Steph being out. Dude has been dominant on both ends of the court. Giannis falls a bit from his peak because his team is still a middling team in the East.

DeMarcus Cousins needs more love though. I get his attitude is a big detraction, but my god is he putting up incredible numbers. Look at his numbers compared to Giannis:

Giannis (17-14)
29.6 PPG, 10.5 RPG, 4.6 APG, 1.8 SPG, 1.4 BPG, 54.2 FG, 27.5 3PT

Cousins (17-16)
25.9 PPG, 12.5 RPG, 5.2 APG, 1.5 SPG, 1.5 BPG, 47.8 FG, 35.3 3PT

I like Harden but he has always choked in the playoffs.

At the same time, his playoff numbers aren't all that much worse than his regular season numbers, and obviously some of that is due to him being playing vs tougher defenders on the whole (ie - Spurs, Warriors) in the playoffs than compared to the regular season where he's playing vs a spectrum of defenses (good, bad, average).

Last 3 full seasons:
Season - 28.5 PPG, 8.5 APG, 6.6 RPG, 43% FG, 36% 3P, 4.8 TO
Playoffs- 27.5 PPG, 7.8 APG, 5.5 RPG, 43% FG, 33% 3P, 4.9 TO

I'n just going on watching him in several series. So looking at overall numbers doesn't show the individual series. Like when he played for OKC. He was great against SA then laid an egg against Miami. So looking at overall numbers they were probably not bad. And I know he was young then and a sixth man. Just an example.

That Miami series is a terrible series to use IMO. He was still a 6th man at that point. It is better to use series that took place in Houston when he was actually the man
