...got to leave the hospital today for a couple of hours to watch practice and see his team.

He is still in pretty bad shape and his leg is still fileted (yes that means exactly what it sounds like) from hip to knee, but a lot of players, former Hoklies and fans have been visiting and calling him.

When asked if he was going back home after the finally close him up he replied, "no no no, i have to get back to my studies, and my team, i may not be able to play football for the rest of the year but I have classes". This is a really good kid.

For some reason, I can not post pictures on this computer. Go do a google search for compartment syndrome and you will get a good idea of why I would not expect him back, even for a bowl game.

I actually watched a show "I was bitten" last night and this guy got compartment syndrome after being bitten by a rattlesnake. They had to perform a fasciotomy (I'm sure I spelled that wrong) to relieve pressure from the CS. Yeah, I can see your point now.

YIKES...Looked at some pics of this compartment syndrome.Vicious looking stuff. Couldn't this type of injury possibly end Roberts' football career? At first glance it would appear so.

He will not be back until after spring workouts, but the treatment wet well.
