Absolutely nothing wrong with a tie in the regular season.

In the playoffs they should both get one shot at a TD, so one series each and after that it becomes sudden death.

That was the obvious thing wrong with the Super Bowl when Sea Biscuit didn't get a chance with the ball, not that they were going to do anything with it anyway.

The more I think of it the less I like OT. In the playoffs sure but dont bother having a clock. Each get the ball once and then Sudden death. Heck I would be fine with eliminating both teams in the case of a tie in the playoffs. It would force teams to go for the win.

Hmm... this sounds like a challenge.

How about... if the game is tied at the end of regulation...

...all five starting offensive linemen play a game of dodgeball between the 40's to determine the winner?
...the two head coaches play a game of BINGO to determine who wins?
...the two kickers have a climax competition... farthest shot wins?
...each team submits blood samples from three random black guys on the team, the team with the highest cumulative sickle cell count wins?

I don't like ties personally and I don't mind the college rule but I'd probably change it to each team gets the ball starting at midfield. Ties suck and both teams should be guaranteed to get the ball imo.

It’s time to fix the overtime rule (and not by chopping it to 10 minutes)

This Moron wants to do a College Like Overtime, except, forget starting at the 25, he wants to start at the 2.5 yard line and give them one play.

Ties are Better than ANY IDEA ANY PERSON CAN COME UP WITH FOR NFL OT.........

Florio is a fucking idiot.

He's a lawyer. A glorified rube who got lucky and now thinks he's Jay Glazer or Adam Schefter.

He once said that because of the Star Caps appeal case that Kevin and Pat Williams were filing against the NFL, that not only would the NFL not approve a new stadium and the Vikings would move, but that Minnesota would never get a team again. 4 years after the idiot said that, the Vikings broke ground on a new stadium.

Still don't know what's so hard about playing football by quarters until someone is ahead.

The college OT rules don't make much sense. In every other sport going to OT essentially means just extending the game with no changes other than possibly some sort of sudden death deal like in the NFL's pseudo-sudden death rule or the golden goal in soccer.

In college football you change the game completely. It becomes Arena football (obviously that fucks with stats quite a bit). And sure, it's exciting as hell, but it's a shitty way to determine the winner of the game. Way too much de-emphasis on defense.

You don't play 3 hours of Rugby and then go to OT and switch to Aussy Rules Football if it's tied.

IMO once a game enters overtime a two man sack race should be held until a consecutive winner. Teams are forced to rotate offensive and defensive lineman in the sack race while every other position cheers them on at the start line.

So NFC Championship ends in a tie = AFC wins the SB?

OK, maybe just for the championships. But have them do something so heinous that there would almost never be OT. Like kicking FGs from their own 35 yard line.

The college overtime is stupid, earn your win, drive the whole field.

Wow that is stupid ... I"m in favor of the college over-time rule but teams shouldn't start already in field goal range, push them back, make them start at there own 40 yard line, that way they actually have to earn even a field goal ...

Lets just get rid of field goals.
