Odds that Mr. Gronkowski is dealt on draft day?
Ohh I think the Pats would settle for a a second and a 5th or 6thNothing's ever zero but I think it's low...I don't see another team ponying up what it would be worth for the Pats to give him up given his injury history and apparently dubious commitment to playing. And I don't think Bill would take just anything to be rid of him.
Gronk can squawk the squawk but I doubt he walks that walk.Considering how close to closed that Gronk pushed the door, saying he would only play with TB12, BB would have to throw in Brady to get a trade for Gronk. I think that would be more than a 2nd,plus a 4th or 5th.
Yeah logic say's the Browns will take a QB early and it makes some sense Chubb and QB or vice verce then RB early.I could see the Pats perhaps being willing...I'm not sure the GB 4th would be enough to get Bill to drop 10 spots, though, even if teams are willing to discount the traditional chart value to move down this year. Maybe a late pick and they give back the 2019 3rd we gave them for Shelton?
I think it more likely Bill will want to trade down 31 than 23, though.
And I really don't see Cleveland waiting that long for QB...it would be a huge risk. They purged their entire depth chart...they traded away from chances to draft Carson Wentz and Deshaun Watson...they can't afford to make that mistake again. It's unlikely but not impossible that all 6 QB's could be gone if they wait that long. Don't get cute, if you have a guy you feel good about, just take him.
Of course Bill would take that deal. Dorsey's not dumb enough to offer it, though. They have #33, #35 and #63 in the second round. Bill would probably deal the #23 for #33 and #35 and a fourth or fifth round pick. That would give Bill #31, #33, #35, #43.......If the Browns were desperate for the #23, Bill might be able to get their 3rd second rounder at #63.
If they have any sense at all they take a QB at #1 and Barkley at #4. If Barkley's gone, then take Chubb. I can't see them dropping out of the the top four.
I'm not a big fan of trading that #23. I think the future QB of the Patriots might be there.
That trade would be terrible value for the Browns. They could trade both 2nd's and probably get into the top-15 if they wanted. If they wanted to trade all 3 2nd round picks that should get them close to the 10th pick in the draft. I think you are undervaluing the Browns picks here or overvaluing the Pats.
