Interesting draft thus far. A Kansas player at DE in the 4th?! Really there was not a better option. Seems like he would have been there in the 5th or 6th but such is life. Still don’t have a safety or defensive tackle. Guess we like Heath and Co. I just hope there is a plan for safety.

Good point Robin on the pro offense. They will put some weight on him too.

Ok prospect. Not dynamic and I remember watching him at the PAC-10. Seems like a mediocre blocker even for a conference where they don’t play big boy football. Hope he can grow and adapt. Seems like a eh pick. Honestly, not sure we got much value at our need positions.

And we get our TE with the last pick of the 4th round.
A TE who can block.

Blocking

Schultz could very well be the most polished blocker among tight ends in the 2018 NFL Draft. Against defensive ends, linebackers or safeties on the edge, he’s tough and competitive — with the strength and tenacity to finish.

I like the QB pick. God forbid Dak went down, wasn't much to work with.
I like Cooper Rush, but having a backup that can step in is of the utmost importance. Let's see which is better and who knows what happens with Dak. I always like picking QBs in the latter rounds if you really like them.

Still no 1 tech or safety. Also wouldn't mind another OL, skill player or really any defender...So I guess I'm open to all. Just stockpile guys you think are good players:hope:

Chris Covington is a nice pick.

He'll be a ST'er and could develop into a good backup. Not sure if he could ever turn into a starter.

Cedrick Wilson (Boise St, not surprised) could be our stretch the field guy.

I'm not really a glass half full guy, more of a call it like I see it. IMO, the Cowboys have had a terrific draft

Boise has become a suburb of Dallas. You already have our best QB and DE, now our best defensive, and now our best offensive players. Wilson was a projected 2nd, 3rd rounder, he's a steal here. He doesn't have blazing speed, but he's another football smart guy who can catch the ball in a crowd. He made a ton of big plays at Boise, big first downs, clinching touchdowns, etc. I'm going to have to go out and get a bunch of Cowboys gear.

Always an exiting time of year. I don't know a lot about most of our picks yet.
I am a little disappointed we didn't get Washington. Pittsburgh might have gotten a steal.

Ateman is off the board. I'm interested to see how he does.
