I did glance at team OPS each of the last 8 years, plus this year. Unless this team really heats up, they'll be the worst hitting of the bunch, except for the 2019 squad.

2015 - .647
2016 - .693
2017 - .690
2018 - .680
2019 - .627
2021 - .722
2022 - .712
2023 - .708
2024 - .632

You've got to start wondering what Schmitt has to do to be promoted. Another month of this and he HAS to come up.

Ahmed isn’t hitting, but he is pulling his weight with the glove. I am OK with letting Schmidt get a bit pissed and REALLY kicking in the door.

While his OPS is sub 700, as you say his glove gives him 0.6 WAR so far this year. Imagine we get that all year? A 3.5 WAR SS? I'd be pretty happy.

Gotta figure Ramos is about ready to be called up
Or FZ will wait till Ramos goes into a slump to bring him up then play him one out of three games pulling for pitch hitters here and there giving him inconsistent playing time, then declare him a bust release then pick up a light hitting pitcher/fist baseman combo with a sore arm. :gaah::brick:

Ummm....FZ doesn't make lineup or PH decisions.

But, rant on I guess.

Just exaggerating the whole FZ Thing. Well in Ramos time up you can't really say in his Major League playing time was consistent and back then FZ wasn't filling out the lineup card so again just playing on how his past opportunities have gone under the FZ "Reign".
