Dolphins acquire LB Stephone Anthony from Saints

Former 1st round pick.

From what I understand, has talent, but may be the victim of a poor coaching/defensive philosophy. Started every game in 2015 as a rookie. Was not scheme fit anymore. We gave up a 5th.

He had a good rookie year at MLB in 2015. The Saints moved him to OLB on his second year and he was less productive. He had a knee injury in 2016. He has been recovering from an ankle injury recently. Hopefully he's healthy.

He was part of a very successful defense at Clemson.

Either way good pick up as they obviously need more LB depth. If Timmons comes back and Rey is healthy even better. Can never have enough competition...

I agree. Anthony is a young LB with NFL experience. He is probably looking forward to getting a chance to prove himself with a new team. He had a good first year yet the Saints gave up on him.

He passed his physical with the Fins. That's a good early sign. His health has held him back early in his career.

Better be on Sunday with Timmons and Rey out. They are short handed at LB....
