Does Iowa have the best C in the B10???

Playing backup to Adam Woodbury??? Gabe Olaseni is a fucking beast. In B10 play the guy is averaging 15 minutes per game and still is dropping an average of 7 pts, 6 rebs, 1.4 blocks per game in league play. If you take that out to a reasonable 30 minutes per game he would be at 14 pts, 12 boards and 3 blocks per game. Plus the guy shoots 60% from the field and 70% from the line. Iowa fans have been clamoring for Olaseni to get more playing time. Is it possible that the Hawks have the best true center in the B10 riding the pine more than half the game?? There is really only one guy I could even see as a legit argument which would be Hammons from Purdue.

It's actually funny you make this thread. I have caught Iowa plenty of times this year and have wondered basically this same thing. Why doesn't he play more?

I get that Woodbury is a big dude and I'm sure he plays some good defense(havn't paid that much attention) but he isn't anything special and as you said Olaseni has been impressive..

Its fucking irritating. Olaseni is better in O, better on D, more athletic. Woodbury is improving and the guy can actually really pass it well but in every other aspect Olaseni crushes him. I legit think the guy is the BEST center in the league right now and he is getting 15 minutes a game. Its unreal.

better yet get rid of.woody and put basabe in his place...i will say woody is looking better the last few games and I think fran likes his intensity

Woody is getting better but its tough for Iowa to REALLY push it with him in the game. He runs OK but Olaseni is a damn gazelle out there.
