So, I have a nice 23'' monitor on which to play a video game here and there, watch sports, post on the hoop and sech. Why not watch my directv recordings since wife watching one of her "rather shoot myself in the face than watch reality shows".
Oh but no, because in this day and age, the drive to make every 35 yr old millennial still living in his mom's basement happy. They can watch directtv on an app on every device from a flip phone to a tablet, there is no way to watch your recordings on your desktop computer. I have verified this with a 20 minute conversation with "pete" from ohio with a remarkable accent that sounds more like India than Ohio, who confirmed that the website does not have a dvr watch feature.
What the crap is that? I have been getting annoyed with rate hikes, outages and slow downloads plus other issues for a while now, but about to dump this thing in the river and just go to fire stick, just as soon as our new fiber is up and running in a month or so.
