Matthew Thomas at FSU is supposedly under a 1 year suspension by the NCAA. Per Rick Ballou a media and radio guy in Jacksonville. This explains why all Jimbo is saying is an ankle, but he does not dress and is not in a boot or taped up. Supposedly this suspension is for failing a drug test administered by the NCAA at the NCG in January. He was medically redshirted last year due to shoulder surgery and did not participate or dress in the last 10 games of the season.

Now this April the NCAA changed the suspension to 6 games. Did anyone here know that the NCAA tests players at the NCG even if they are not playing or even dressed out? All you have to do is travel with the team and you can be tested. Have never heard of that before.

Supposedly it happened with a Michigan basketball player this past year as well. He left for the NBA instead of taking the suspension.

Yeah I knew that because of the McGary situation. Before that I had never heard of it. Pretty dumb IMO.

Why can't we just fly under the radar for awhile. Damn it seems like we're always in the headlines for unrelated football things

Well the Thomas thing is only from one person. Others are not reporting it as of now. The Winston thing was bound to come around. Then there is the Casher academic thing, whatever it is.

Here is some good and bad news. Chris Casher is back for Saturday. Whatever his academic thing was is now cleared up. Ukeme Eligwe will be back for Clemson(in limited duty). Now for the bad news. Matthew Thomas was suspended indefinitely by FSU today for violation of team rules(NCAA failed drug test).
