you can't bring back fayne though otherwise we are looking at the exact same lineup as last year and the same clog on the blue line.

also please lou if we are even just on the bubble please move zid for SOMETHING anything this year

We should buy out Volch and resign Fayne.

This gets us out from Volch now, and Salvador next June.

Fayne is a better skater, just as physical, younger, and less injury prone.

And therein lies one of the biggest problems with this team. They could not afford to let a defenseman go because it would seriously impact their already anemic offense.

I would have preferred to let him go, I've been one of his biggest critics, but the guy did put up points last year. Bringing him back at the very least gives some sort of security blanket should we choose to trade some of our D (which I'm hoping for).

So if/when we're in the same position as last year, we won't be able to move him for a potential 1st or 2nd round pick to a team that will want a mobile, puck moving defensemen with a good shot.

good to have him back. 2 years ago he was more of a liability. He played solid this year on defense and his offensive output helped this team a lot.

i had no idea that there was a NTC involved. but thats typical lou he wants to keep his czech buddies happy elias and zidlicky are buddies. too bad he wasn't this involved in getting suter or niedermeyer to play here.
