I think the traditional shut down defenseman type will soon be extinct. Key is for a mobile defense. Play well position wise. Of course if you can skate and be physical that is a plus.

I'll never forget that goal in 2012. Heck, the one against the Panthers in the first round was just as awesome and maybe more crucial considering it was double OT Game 7.

Anyway, excited for the move! The sudden depth on offense made it possible, no doubt. Now, I guess we'll see what other moves are up Shero's sleeve!

Bump just because I was thinking about it. Without this trade I don't think we make the playoffs. Hall gets s ton of credit (rightfully so) for carrying us to the playoffs but this guy really solidified and took pressure off this defense.

vat is a beast back there. he has a cannon of a shot has some snarl to him. henrique is a great 2nd line player but to get a top 4 and on our team a top 2 d man for him is a steal and a half
