New York, Chicago or other?

Mine's from the grill (obviously) and is pretty burnt. Not burnt to a crisp, but I want some good black marks. Put it on a white bun (I like wheat hamburger rolls, wheat hot dog ones are nasty). Put a little mustard and a good amount of relish. Onions are good, but optional. No chilli and certainly no cheese.

I don't care how you heat the wiener, but after that, I want it on a plain ol' hotdog bun, loaded with mustard, chili, and freshly chopped onion. For a twist, I may add slaw.

I did have some fancy dog, not too long ago, that had some sort of seedy bun (not sesame) and it had tomato wedges, sliced onions, and a sweet pickle spear in there with it and what tasted like dijon mustard. It was pretty tasty.

Almost completely charred, but it better be done slowly because there's nothing worse than it being crisp on the outside and cold on the inside :puke: Just mustard on a regular bun.

Occasionally enjoy a bacon wrapped one at the ballpark, served the same way.

That was a Chicago dog. Not a big fan

Ketchup on hot dogs is not my idea of a good time.

I like the Oscar Meyer hot dogs that have cheese on the inside grilled. A slice of Kraft American Singles between the dog and the bun and topped with ketchup and Blue Plate mayo.

the point was the weiner..not what was on it
Yeah, maybe I have issues. I still don't get it. Is it a specific brand of dog you're trying to say you like the best? But not served the way it shows in the picture?

I like dogs that have been soaked in beer. Then grilled.

Mustard, onions and kraut.

You're getting into the realm of bratwurst IMO with the soaked in beer.

A good brat is covered in saute'd onions, cheese, ketchup and Blue Plate mayo.
