Derrell Revis anyone ?????

Really interesting numbers with this guy. The Jets have to insure he makes 6 mil this year. So if he doesn't, play, the Jets are on the hook for 6 mil. Now if the Seahawks were to sign him for league min somewhere around 1.5 mil then the Jets would have to come up with 4.5 mil to make sure that he earns 6 mil this year. If someone pays him 6 mil then the Jets would not have to pay him anything. Now that his legal troubles are over and we are onto week two of free agency where the big dollars have disappeared, anything is possible. Now you also manipulate his contract to a multi year contract with him making league min this year and some guaranteed money in the later years just to get the Jets to buck up. I would sign him at league min in a heart beat

Man , I hope we don't trade Sherman ... He's a vocal leader out there and takes away 1 side of the field, were not deep at corner anymore and not having Sherman right now would annihilate our secondary....

Yeah for the right price anybody could be traded. I think the Hawks will want the farm for Sherm, and that this is more of a message to the Sherm from the team, if you want to stay, improve your behavior. Nobody is bigger then the team

that's not a bad idea if you get Revis for the league min. He has talked about going into coaching, bring him in as a player coach then next season you got a new CB coach that i believe would be an upgrade.

Player coach would be good, I do like that idea. He could help the young guys learn the game from his view which would be ideal. I think he's got a little left in the tank for this year and with Kam and ET backing him up it could make our backfield very dangerous.

Yeah, not thanks to Revis... He's regressed quite a bit and is only a shell of his formerself... There is a reason he's been going from team to team as much as he has.. Would be his 4th time going to a new team in the last 5 seasons...
