Utah is well below the salary floor and may be interested in claiming Deron Williams off waivers.
Advice: It has been widely reported that Williams will sign with the Cavs once he clears waivers; however, it's not a given that will happen. The Jazz are $4 million below the salary floor and thus can easily absorb the remainder of Williams contract. D-Will was originally drafted by the Jazz and still owns a home in Utah. The Cavs still appear to be the heavy favorites to land Williams if he clears waivers, but Utah will have a crack at him first. Williams fantasy value will take a big hit in either Cleveland or Utah, as he will be relegated to reserve duty.
