Dooley Will Not Return As Vols' Head Coach - UTSPORTS.COM - University of Tennessee Athletics

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Tennessee announced today that Derek Dooley will not return as the head football coach of the Vols. The announcement was made by Vice Chancellor and Director of Athletics Dave Hart, who will immediately begin a search for a new head coach for the Vols.

Hart will address the media at 2 p.m. today (Sunday, Nov. 18) at the Stokely Family Media Center at Neyland Stadium. The press conference will also be streamed live on UTSports.com.

When was the last time we lost to UK in consecutive seasons? I wonder if that's on Dooley's to-do list as well.

I'm sad to say that I think if UT doesn't get a big name coach there will be many more years of similar stats. They need some hype and recruits.

It's never going to end, this is the new era of UT football. It won't be long before we get sent to the Big East. They should probably just remove the top deck as well - it'll look a lot better than playing in a half empty stadium.
