I have heard a couple of different things. One was they disagreed on who should be Cable (heard Miller wanted Kyle Chandler and Reynolds didn't). Also that Reynolds wanted it to be more comedic while Miller wanted it to be more serious.
I've been reading about it too. Tim Miller also wanted to triple the budget and go with a more traditional action movie. Reynolds wants to keep the budget low, and maintain the style and feel of the original.
I absolutely have to side with Reynolds here. A hit movie getting a massive budget increase tends to make for a shitty sequel. Keep it low, and depend on story and dialogue, rather than effects.

He has the look, clearly. But dude is a horrible actor. Granted, I haven't seen See No Evil, but everything I have seen him in has been pretty brutal.
He couldn't carry a Cable movie on his own, but as a supporting straight man, he can hack the role, I think.

Which means, If they plan on moving forward with solo flicks, they have to go with someone else. Chandler could carry a solo movie. I just don't see him in the role.

But who saw Keaton as Wayne or RDJ as Stark before they became synonymous with those roles?

I liked him in Avatar. The only thing I've seen him in.

I thought he was rather robotic and one-dimensional.

That may have been the writing, though. I will grant that as a possibility.

WAY too big a role for an acting novice like Nash. Besides, he is probably TOO big.

Kevin has been in enough, 15 films. Cannot go too big for this role and get someone that would out draw Ryan Reynolds. Think of Kevin as the russian in the punisher.

Doesn't matter that he has been 15 films. He has had a grand total of about 25 lines of dialogue. No way you entrust a major character like Cable with a guy like Nash.

I'm a big fan of John Wick. This could be great.

"Less than a week after word broke that 20th Century Fox‘s Deadpool sequel lost director Tim Miller to creative differences comes word that a new Deadpool 2 director may already have been found. Mashable reports that David Leitch is a “strong frontrunner” for the Deadpool 2 director job. Leitch co-directed John Wick, the hit Keanu Reeves actioner, with Chad Stahleski. In addition to years of experience working second unit, the pair also own and operate 87Eleven Action Design, a Hollywood choreography studio that builds fight sequences and trains stuntmen for some of Hollywood’s biggest blockbusters."

For me, what I loved about Deadpool was, it's hilarious. I don't want a more serious Deadpool. If Reynolds wants more comedy, I'm good with it. However, it doesn't need to be more vulgar. It's vulgar enough.

I've been reading about it too. Tim Miller also wanted to triple the budget and go with a more traditional action movie. Reynolds wants to keep the budget low, and maintain the style and feel of the original.

I agree with you. Fuck Tim Miller. Writing made this movie great. Don't fuck with hat made the original a success.

The writers were on Geeking Out and they said Reynolds paid for them to be on set everyday.
Ryan Reynolds loved Deadpool so much, he paid out of pocket to have his writers on set

Deadpool was pretty good, though Ryan Reynold's funny dialogue is pretty much what made the film.

He is already Thanos in the MCU and he played Jonah Hex in the movie.

Dude is a comic book freak at this point.
