Strange lineup today... for the Dbacks

Corbin looked good through 6.1, gave up 2 ER (1 in the first, 1 in the 7th), Clippard so so.

Top of the 8th, Crooked number so far with 5 more runs. 9-1 Dbacks.

Marshall gives up 5 in the bottom of the 9th after the cards have a position player pitch and give up back to back HR's to the dbacks.. Barrett has to come in to get the final out. Sheesh...

How could Chip Hale leave Marshall in for so long. After he gave up two runs he should have been pulled immediately. Hale left Marshall in long enough to give up five runs and had two men on base when Barrett came in. Hale is such an idiot. Really this team will not go anywhere with this manager. And Marshall needs to go back to the minors because he cannot even get three outs in the ninth inning of a blowout game.

I think it's easy to get in the mindset of "we need one out and are up 7...this guy has to be able to do that before things get dicey." So you let him load the bases, then maybe a few runs come in, it's still a big cushion...and next thing you know the tying run is at the plate.

This is more on Marshall for sucking in a low pressure situation than Hale...but yeah, he could have pulled him a bit earlier.

How many stupid moves can Hale possibly make. 1st and 3rd with two outs and he does not pinch hit for Robbie Ray. It was the only scoring chance of the game so far against Leake as he was cruising. Ray had almost 90 pitches and was laboring. Instead, Hale keeps in Ray and they do not score. Awful decision.

Not to mention but again there are no outfielders playing the outfield. Weeks, Owings, and Drury. Three infielders playing the outfield. WAKE UP YOU MORON AND PLAY A REAL LINEUP. How many losses will it take for this loser to be fired. At this rate they will finish in last place if Hale stays the manager.

I would also love to know why Rickie Weeks is still on this roster and occasionally gets starts, while a guy like Pete O'Brien continues to rot at AAA Reno

I have been saying that for a while. Nick Ahmed gets to play everyday and does not even bat .200. Weeks plays randomly and offers nothing. He is also a terrible defender in the outfield. Every single game the lineup is totally different. Drury will either bat 2nd, 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th. You never who is going to play and where they will bat. No consistency. Ahmed struck out on a pitch late in the game today that I thought was going to hit him in the chest. He is one of the worst hitters I have ever seen. This organization should be embarrassed.

Having the D-Backs as my affiliate team and a real life Cardinal fan, today was do or die for my fantasy day. Leake did well, but my offense struggled with Segura, Drury, and Tomas.....But I would rather my real life team win than my fantasy team....good luck tomorrow....And I have Grienke going....still with the rock and hard spot......

I got Greinke going too. Almost considered benching him as I'm tight in a few categories and anything less than a great outing could cost me...but I can't leave a guy like him on the bench. Probably come back to bite me.
