Right, a decent chance allows a guy a third year to get it right. He he doesn't right the ship after an early slip like Kiffin SR did, you fire him mid steam....

I'm thinking he goes after that Az State game last year, but y'all kept him through he season.

Are you talking about Monte or Lane on the 3rd year? Monte was the DC for 3 full seasons and as I said the defense got worse each season.

As for Lane, it's different deal because of the sanctions. I think he is getting a 4th year for 2 reasons:

1.) His first 2 seasons were just fine, 8-5 in his first season and also being the first year of sanctions is fine and 10-2 season before last was great. Plus, he kept his idiot mouth shut and didn't do anything stupid. Last year was an obvious clusterfuck and likely would have cost him his job if he hadn't performed well in the first 2.

2.) It'll be much easier to attract a high quality coach if he only has to deal with 1 season of schollie reductions instead of 2.

I like this pick a lot. It shows that WR was a position we really wanted to target like Junkie suggested all along. DaRick Rogers had too many issues so we went with the guy everyone says has the best hands in the draft.

Fisher is so paranoid that Bradford sucks, that he is getting some serious playmakers.


WR's will be getting separation now. This is going to be fun to watch.

According to everyone on the staff there it was a great pick. Best hands of any receiver in the draft. They love the Rams draft by addressing every spot of deficiences. They think the Rams have the best draft so far. With just 4 picks? Stedman and Austin will make each other even better and is a PURE position receiver. According to them it is a outstanding pick.
