Darrelle Revis?

Brian Baldinger says on 97.5 The Fanatic a while ago, that the eagles may be looking to sign Revis on a one year deal. He has lost a step, we know, but his ability and knowledge can make up for that, and he could mentor the young CB's we have. thoughts?

Wouldn't it be better to hire him as a coach? Not sure what our cap space is currently.

question - wasn't that under Chip Kelly that we had one of our Ol or TE's that was acting as a LB assistant coach or something? I remember reading the results of before and after him working with them and they were was a marked improvement. But I think it was Chip decided not to bring him back the following year. I remember him being a bit bent about it. Who was that, and what was that situation again???

Will never be as bad as Reid naming an OL coach w/ no prior experience in the NFL coaching defense to become the Defensive Coordinator in a win-now season.

As for Revis, I'd rather we give those reps to young guys who need them rather than a washed up veteran who's been stealing money from his teams the last couple of seasons. Revis Island has sunk into the ocean, and I really don't think he has any interest in going to a team to be mentor to anyone. If they actually sign him I'm not going to be mad about it, but if we do people will need to temper their expectations.

What's he got left? Worth a look and if he can play a little still the young kids can get to pick his brain and see him work.
