truth

its the truth

Grier is injury prone.
He'll be lucky to last the season, again.
He is going to need a lot of help that I don't think Holgerson can deliver.

But the conference needs somebody people can talk about and give WVU fans hope.
Then crush their dreams when we play the last game of the season, again.

For the 7th year in a row: Texas (plus gonna win 9 or 10 games, or course)

B1g: definitely Nebraska
not sure who else
SEC: South Carolina, Florida
ACC: going with the Wramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech (because I love saying that), Seriously, VT; FSU will return to plus side of the ledger
PAC: Good Lord, I dont know. Definitely UCLA would be easy with you know being back, I dont have a clue to pick otherwise. I'm going with the Ducks

I was surprised to see Michigan on the list and not Alabama, given the similarities. In all fairness, Alabama has finished better than 3rd in their division in the recent past and Alabama was 3rd in their conference. :D

Big XII
Texas - No really

SEC
Tennessee - They have the players, it was the coaching.
Florida - See Tennessee

BIG
Nebraska - Coaching actually does mean something
Michigan - With that new WR coach coming in and a new QB watch out.

ACC
North Carolina - I flipped a coin

PAC
UCLA - This is the easiest one.
Arizona State - It's going to be a fun year.

You heard it here first.

Jexas? Give me a break. Still can't develop a QB. So much love for a team that has had one great year and one good year in the last century.

I want to know why people think Taggert was a good hire.. ive seen his record. the best he had done anywhere is 10-2 @ UsF.. the rest of his record is barely above .500 how all of a sudden does this translate to FSU being good next year?

because you are looking at the single season numbers and not the progressive

no.. i looked at the whole record.. while yes he did get WKU from a 0-10 to 7- 5 then 8-4 but his average is 7-5 same with USF.. 7-5 to 8-4 to 1 season at 10 -2.. but again his average is 8-4.. and it took a few seasons to get there.. hes 47-50 as a head coach.. while progress was made.. he's not making any playoff games at 8-4.. don't get me wrong .. Id LOVE for fsu to constantly be a 8-4 or 7-5 every year.. i just dont think he's all that and a bag of chips..

He also hasnt stayed to see things out. WKU and USF were never going to make a playoff anyway.
Oregon was his first P5 school where he did the same. 4-8 to 7-5. had a top recruiting class. had he stayed where would Oregon have been this year and then next and then year 4?
to question a coach with a losing record without considering where his teams were when he got there not to mention who those schools were just seems silly.

Yeah, but you know what can deliver help? A needle.

really ...Scott Frost took 0-12 Ucf to 6-6 in one year then 13-0 his second.. may i remind you that UCF and USF are in the same conference.. that isnt silly.. and he did it in 2 years..

so you are arguing that Frost in 2 seasons is so much better and significant than 3 seasons for Taggart to get to double digit wins?
also dont forget while Frost came in off an 0-12 season they were also 2 years removed from 12-1.
taggart came to USF where their best season prior was 8-5 in 2010?
both teams were down when Frost and Taggart came in but both situations were different? why were they losing? offense? defense? coaches? players? you cant purely assess and compare the two based on numbers and results.

also consider schedule

Taggart does come into a program that has more talent to begin with than any of the programs he has taken over in the past, but they also play a more formidable schedule than any of his previous programs. Sounds like a wash.

UCLA may be frightening.

Arizona State decided to set its program back at least 4 years.

Is this your first correct prediction on the Hoop?
