Offensive fumbles are right now -2. This poll needs 9 yes to change it to -1 for a fumble and -1 for a fumble lost. So a Lost fumble would still cost you 2 points but a fumble that goes out of bounds or is recovered by your team only cost you -1.

I dont really understand why this is a proposed change... IMO, you either count turnovers or you dont... i dont want to separate the severity of a turnover... because at that point we might as well penalize a turnover more if it is returned for a TD

a fumble, by itself, isn't a turnover

The way it is now is a bad center to QB snap that the QB falls on hurts you the same as a QB fumbling that the defense recovers.

Yes that is why it is up for change. Most likely a mistake made by the commish when we started the league.

id rather either just penalize for fumbles lost, or penalize for fumbles lost AND sacks... but definitely not fumbles and fumbles lost...

TBH I thought I had set it up to be fumbles and fumbles lost as the Defense is set up. It is still the same for a TO as an INT is this way, but it also hurts the guy that fumbles and is lucky enough for one of his own teammates to recover.

Yeah, I voted yes, but I do think a second poll should be done after this one to propose changing to “fumbles lost” only.
