I still think our problem is play calling. The offense has actually moved the ball in all three games we've played this year. The problem being -- we can't score touchdowns once we get into the redzone. I think of the 10 redzone trips this year we have 8 or 9 field goal attempts and 1 touchdown.

It has got to be Stanford, LSU and K-State...unless San Diego State, Miss State and Vandy are vastly underrated!

I'm going to add Louisville and Florida to the list.

I swear Florida would be better off if they used every single scholarship for defense so they could rest those poor guys a little. Just punt it back immediately to the other team and send a new defense out every series.

I know you don't want to believe that, but you may be correct.

I understand they would have a hang-over from Clemson, but that was Mercer out

on that field.
And we didn't drop in the polls....wtf?

But you think Hornibrook is good... I'll reserve judgement until he plays a tough defense. Don't disagree Um and OSU have QB issues. It's a bummer because we have 2 capable backups sitting on the bench but Urbs is too stubborn.

Hornibrook was awful and I said that last season. I wanted Houston to be the starter in the OSU/Michigan games and well Hornibrook was the reason we lost those games by a score. However, His off season dedication to improve his arm strength, and mobility has shown. He also, watched countless hours of game tape to figure out what he did wrong and what's necessary to rectify those mistakes.

He still can't throw the ball 70 yards on a rope and may never. However his intermediate passes are elite in terms of accuracy and having sufficient zip on the ball to beat tight coverage. Sure there will be better defenses in the future but it's obvious the jump he's made this year from last year.

It's similar to our situation when We had Stave. The dude was flat out terrible and we had a 5 star recruit in Houston on the bench collecting dust. For some reason the coaches kept playing him. The better player should play IMO and not necessarily the most experienced. Urb might just be afraid that those QB's might not be ready to handle the spotlight and if they fail and he has to go back to his starter well then his confidence might be shattered. It's a tough decision but that's why they pay him the big bucks. Not putting in the backup could cost him a chance for another playoff spot from what I seen vs Oklahoma. Still an young season so time will tell.'

That's awful. My god I would say fire the O coordinator for that kind of production. Is Jimmy calling the shots?

Don't disagree with this. Once JT is benched he won't recover mentally imo so they really need to be sure

Maybe if they get up big they can put in the backups to test them out a little. I don't know any other way of testing them out without shattering the confidence of JT. It will be up to him to be mentally prepared to be the starter even if he does lose his job. I doubt he will unless they lose another game by a good amount of points.
