The Los Angeles Kings will be guided by the same coaching staff in 2014-15.

It was reported earlier on Wednesday that John Stevens, whom had drawn interest from Pittsburgh, Carolina, and likely Vancouver, was not given permission to interview for vacant head coaching positions. Then came the inevitable – he was promoted to Associate Head Coach, while Assistant Coach Davis Payne and Goaltending Coach Bill Ranford were re-signed to new contracts.

yeah, I was reading about that. I guess they said When/If Sutter retires that Stevens will become the head coach.
