Nobody does. This entire thread was started by a Cowboys fan pretty much trying to hype up the future of the Cowboys. And while yes I will agree things look pretty good they also have some major things working against them taking that next step.

I'm sure Seahawks fans a few years ago thought they were forming the next great dynasty. While they have still won a lot of games it hasn't quite turned out like they thought. So most in here are just saying don't count your chickens before the eggs hatch. These type of threads seem to have a funny way of popping up every year.

Guess it beats the hell out of the politics forum! Most of the time I would rather jack off with bull nettle and drink out of the commode than hang out in there!

I've spent maybe 15 minutes of my time on that forum since I joined the Hoop and yeah had to take a few days away from the Hoop after visiting that site.

Lots of speculation in here, how the hell does anyone know how this plays out that far down the road?

Because it's the 2000s now and the Cowboys always suck!

Good one! You been working on that one awhile? If so, you might want to run down to Barnes and Noble and buy you a "joke" book, cause your current material is :trash:

Well, again, Hail Mary aside, cause YES, I believe its more luck than a reflection on how good your defense is, they held Rodgers to 7 points in the first half on his homefield

That's a pretty dominant defensive half

Dallas held Green Bay to 16 points the entire game in Green Bay this season. That's a pretty dominant GAME, not half.

But keep telling yourself Dallas is awful defensively. They are just above average - not great, but not bad either.

Congrats, Pack had 4 TO's and were playing terrible in the first half of the season.

I think they have the offense to consistently make the postseason. They just don't have the HC or defense at this time to get to the SB. They should be a very good team for at least the next 7 years.

Dallas Cowboys Salary Cap - Over the Cap

If the Cowboys dump Romo they'll have 27 mil before resigning any of the FA's they want to return. I assume they will still have around 18 million after resigning the FA's they want to return. This leaves them enough space for at least one beast at the D-line and one 25-27 year old CB that's a #1 CB. If they add those 2 pieces and draft very well on the defensive side of the ball for the next year or 2 they just might have a dominate defense.

Lots of cap problems in the foreseeable future. This was their best chance and they blew it.
So their best shot was the year that two their best if not the best players were rookies and the year after winning 4 games??? I don't know how you do it. I would have thought it would be tough to be this wrong this consistently...

How exactly did you come up with that based on the link you posted?

If they trade Romo they would drop his 19 mil right?
no, not how it works. They still need to account for $19.6M that has yet to hit their cap (over 1 or 2 years depending on when/how they part ways). Can trade the future money, but not the past money yet to hit the cap. Plus they are $9M in the hole, not below the cap

Call me what you like but again there are lots of things I would much rather do, like hangout in jail or maybe even with Patriots fans, but I got no interest in that PF whatsoever :D

I find football fans funny at times. Some of us are serious homers....I am admittedly one. Cowboys fans amuse me the most. For the most part I will say most are ok and will actively engaged in a debate about the teams future and actually be objective about it. The group that i find hilarious is the 30 and under Cowboys fan. They tend to throw the how many rings the Cowboys have when they probably did not even follow football the last time they won one. A Cowboys fan who is 30 years old would have been 10 the last time the Cowboys won a SB. Very few 10 year olds give a shit about pro football and surely don't follow it.
