Pierce, KG, and Allen were the actions of a great front office. Lebron, Wade, and Bosh were players that colluded beforehand to form a super team. Letting everyone in the league know the players has the power to do it. That had much more effect than Boston. Yeah, The Dubs drafted three good players, but signing KD made it unfair. Cousins even more so. When the best player in the league and by many people’s opinions ever (not me) runs to another team for almost certain titles, it makes it okay for every other player to do so.

I really don’t know how you can blame this on Boston. They didn’t create the first big three.

Only in how the players were acquired, not in the spirit of building a "super team". In that way, Boston set the tone. They were the only legit "Big 3" in the NBA when they won the title, which is why they won.

That's a big difference. Using assets is completely different than 3 friends teaming together. The Warriors were a super team before KD, only because of the assets through the draft(and one bigger FA signing in Iggy)

It is a win, win for all involved. Cousins is coming into an already made squad with all-NBA talent squad surrounding him. He will get to win a ring, get back into playing shape after his Achilles injury and then sign a big multi-year deal next year.

Cousins has one of the top usuage rates in the history of the NBA. It's not because coaches have called plays for him at that high of a rate....it's because he doesn't play within an offense and the moment he touches the ball he just does whatever the hell he wants.

He is undeniably talented. But he is a complete bafoon. The only thing lower than his basketball IQ is his real life IQ.

This move is taking shots away from Durant, Curry and Thompson. And it is going to slow up GS's ball movement. This move has a decent chance of completely blowing up in the Warriors face IMO.
