thing is, they've lost 11 of their last 12 and they're still 10.5 games up with 23 to play. That would require the Dodgers to continue playing quite poorly and the D-Backs to keep winning. Say the Dodgers finish at 98 wins... the D-Backs would still need to win 16 of their final 22. The 2011 Rays didn't have nearly as much ground to make up as the D-Backs do.
Fify. The only win in that glorious streak was a 1-0 win with 'Shaw pitching.:clap:

It's pretty hard to sustain .750 ball.

There is no way the D-Backs catch the Dodgers. I like their chances with a home wild card game and Greinkie on the mound. Assuming a win (which is not a sure thing by any stretch) and a next series against the Dodgers, you would have Ray starting game one. He owns that team especially in LA. Considering the Dodgers playoff history...

Anything is possible

With the way they've been going lately I'm not so sure if they'll even get to 100 wins.
As of today they're just trying to maintain their shrinking HFA over the Nats.
It's currently a 5 game lead with 21 games to go.

Could they lose in the first round? Technically, yeah... but really... Nah
i dunno

Kershaw is of course amazing

but i dont have any faith in Alex Wood, --- not a whole lot of faith in Darvish, Rich Hill is solid but nothing spectacular.

Dodgers are a great team- but they have a history of gagging in the playoffs-- and the Diamondbacks have really played good ball against them this year

Wood has been one of the best pitchers in the NL this year when he's been on the mound. His durability might be a legitimate question mark, but the results are there. Not sure why you wouldn't have any faith in him, at least as far as results go.

As for Hill, he's been pretty spectacular in his last 13 starts (3.01 ERA, 100/19 K/BB in 77.2 innings). Durability is a question mark with him as well, but as long as he's healthy, I'd feel pretty good about the chances of him keeping you in the game.

Hey look, no Gonzalez on the roster and the Dodgers are good again. :D

he really fell off this year. He hasn't been an elite player since 2011, but he was still a solid/above average player. He went from a 111 OPS+ and 2.1 WAR in 2016 to a 69 OPS+ and -1.1 WAR in 2017.
