Could Nick Saban realistically retire if he wins the NC?

Remember when everyone was saying Meyer replaced Saban at the top 2 years ago? Ya that may have been a bit of an overreaction. Not by me of course. I never said that.

In before someone puts up a link of me saying that.

I literally started a dynasty with UAB on NCAA13 the other day because of that exact reason lol.

EZ mode, I go with Eastern Michigan or New Mexico St.

I was just thinking about this about 30 minutes ago.

But I wasn't going to post unless Alabama won Monday.

Heck I think Finebaum said it to Phyllis. Sounded like the Jerry Springer show after that

I have seen more stress on Saban's face than ever before during this season. The guy looks absolutely miserable sometimes. He's never been a happy guy on the sidelines but this season? Wow. I can see him eventually pulling a Bo Pelini about something which would set the stage to leave soon after that. I only give him a couple more years.....three at the most.

Meh, it's really not been that different from any other season as far as on field shit goes. He actually seems more laid back the last couple or so seasons than he ever has off the field.

I once played as Auburn with short quarters to see how many winless seasons it took to get fired. I didn't get shit canned after the first one, but couldn't finish the second, was too much.

Could not agree more. He has really relaxed it seems like and found that happy balance of relaxation and intensity. And he definitely gets a kick out of reminiscing about when he was younger, for a little bit at least. Then its back to extremity intensity.

No.

He'll coach until he's tired of it, probably 10 more years. That's what he claims anyway.

Sorry.
Why are you sorry? Saban is a great coach. He will retire when he is damn ready to retire.

A great college coach but he was a dud as an NFL coach.

He's already the GOAT, but he's going to make sure that his status is unreachable.

Did you ever hear of John Gagliardi?
