Looks like Western Michigan went to the Clemson School of Covering the Tight End....lets just hope they didn't also attend the School of Butt/Scrotum Rubbing.

Don't want someone catching him from behind and punching the ball out, would be my guess. That's actually a smart football play.
But I think he scores a TD there.

Seemed like that second half went really fast.

West mich is solid team but stage was too big for fleck. Burning a timeout to punt and running the play clock down every play. Wtf?

Western Michigan gave a good effort and Wisconsin was flat but still dominated.

Holding the ball and running out the clock is more important there than scoring...why would you want the other team to get the ball back...if you have the ball you control the game by controlling the clock

They should be happy this game was even close.

Probably should have been more lopsided than it was, but a win is a win. Chryst had some great playcalls today. The OL easily outplayed their great DL. The defense struggled a lot on 3rd/4th downs and should have had 2-3 more turnovers than they did, but they kept making solid plays.

All the 50/50 plays went to our 13-0 opponent with an NFL caliber QB and a 1st round WR. We still won. That's a pretty solid way to end a pretty solid year.

And this pretty solid team returns 13-17 of the 22 starters depending on how you count and whether Ramczyk and Watt return. Next year should absolutely be a playoff-caliber group. There's a lot to be excited about in Madison.

This game didn't feel as close as the score. If WMU doesn't recover all 5 of its fumbles (plus a couple batted balls that could have been picked off) and it would have been ugly.

I know a game was never in doubt when I haven't reached for a cig.

Kudos to Western Michigan. Played with heart and had a very respectable showing (well, score wise).

Also, major props to Bart Houston. He sits on the bench for four years and doesn't transfer. People are saying he's a waste and doesn't have competitive fire. They are saying he will never play. As a 5th year Senior, he gets his first start leads us to a win over LSU. He struggles mightily against Georgia State and gets benched.

He could quit or give up. He doesn't. He leads a bunch of huge plays as part of a 2 man system. Then Horni goes down against Minnesota and he leads us back. He plays a great B1G Championship game where he had us one play away from tying right at the end. And then he goes 11-12 today with the 12th pass being a drop.

I see people citing to Kaminsky a lot as an example for young people to keep buying into a system and never give up or pout. Bart is a great example of that as well.

Should have been UW vs. FLorida. It would've been a better game for both of us and a better party.
