Not sure MLB has the tools to really hammer them even if they wanted to do so within the CBA.I wonder if the Cardinals will get anymore more than fines.

The commissioner can fine the Cardinals and also exact punitive damages for the actions of the team or an employee. The commissioner has wide latitude when it comes to choosing a punishment, and sources have described how he could take away draft picks or limit the Cardinals’ spending on amateurs.
