Doug Collins is 100% the reason the Sixers are in this mess. Selecting Cousins with the #2 pick was always the right answer. By doing the dumb thing and taking the worse player at a position they were already stacked at (swing SF/SG who couldn't really shoot - T. Young and Iggy - both of whom were better than Turner) he doomed the team. That mistake led to trading Iggy and Vucevic for Bynum and the total collapse of the franchise.
