4 super conferences with 30 teams each:
Republican Conference
Democrat Conference
Libertarian Conference
Green Conference

Draw up a schedule and have the fans vote on the winner of each game. No need to actually travel to play, just let the fans decide the winner. Saves huge amounts of money on facilities, stadiums, travel, housing, etc., so no need to make so much money through TV. The coaches in each "game" could have a televised debate about their strategy before the voting takes place.
At the end of the season each conference nominates a champion for the playoff vote.

No no no... you are getting this all wrong. It should the the team in a big market conference.

Rutgers (NYC), UCLA (LA), Colorado State (Denver), Northwestern (Chicago), Georgia Tech (Atlanta), Boston College (Boston), Temple (Philadelphia), Stanford (San Francisco), SMU (Dallas), Miami (Miami), and Houston (Houston) are going to merged to form the TV media supermarket. Yes the pun is intended.
