NE @ MIN

Vikings fans need to start buying tickets now. Get that home field advantage ready.

I read that the city of Minny stands to lose 100's of millions of dollars if the Vikings MAKE the Super Bowl

Actually made a ton of sense

When you are the host city, you hope for a SB with fans that travel well

Dallas for instance.......Youd get 100's of thousands of Cowboy fans in Minny, spending money hand over fist

The local Minnesota residents, thats a given for the host city, any city...

When it was in New York, New Yorkers were still filling bars, spending money everywhere, but it was the people from Seattle and Denver, that was the bonus to the economy

In the case of the Vikings, they are losing that other fanbase that they would typically be getting an influx of cash from

Make sense?

I can see how hotels could lose money. As well as restaurants & anything else tourist related.

I'd think it would be because locals don't need to buy hotel rooms, eat out, rent cars/take taxis, pay airlines, buy winter coats (if Jacksonville makes it only)....etc...etc......etc......

I guess it's NE for one of them.

The other game, I don't know how it will go. I didn't expect Philly to win last weekend but they shut Atlanta down good. They get another Dome team outdoors this week.

Might be a low-scoring NFCCG

I was curious about the "dome team, on the road, playing outdoors in the playoffs" thing.

Dome teams are 18-56 in those games. That's including retractable roof teams.

I knew it wasn't good odds. Of course, a lot of that is simply due to being the underdog and just playing on the road, may not be the weather at all in some cases. But still, Minny got their work cut out for them

Yeah of course. Overall, in the playoffs, road teams have won 32.6% of games. Dome teams, on the road, outdoors, have won 24.3%.
