With the season over, I saw everyone started coming out with their early top 25 for next season. The list is compiled from ESPN, CBS, SI, Sporting News, Fox Sports, NBC Sports and FanRag Sports. I basically took the list and compiled a composite top 25 using those outlets' top 25. The list is below:

Parenthesis indicates the number of first place votes.

1. Louisville(2)
2. Duke
3. North Carolina
4. Arizona(3)
t5. Kentucky(1)
t5. Kansas(1)
7. Michigan State
8. Villanova
9. Wichita State
10. Gonzaga
11. Florida
12. Minnesota
13. West Virginia
14. USC
15. Cincinnati
16. UCLA
17. Notre Dame
18. Miami
19. Saint Mary's
20. Northwestern
21. Butler
t22. Xavier
t22. Virginia
24. Alabama
25. Baylor

Other Receiving Votes: Seton Hall, Virginia Tech, Oregon, South Carolina, Michigan, SMU, Texas A&M, Vanderbilt, Creighton, BYU, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Purdue, TCU, Maryland, Nevada.

Thoughts?

I saw a bunch of em last night before I went to sleep.

Takeaways:

As of now, next year will be one of the most wide open in years. I don't think there was any team that was unanimous Top 5.

The uncommitteds may help swing that if two of them decide to go to the same school, but not a crazy amount. Likely there will be no consensus #1 team.

Personally, I think Arizona is the top team in the country off the top of my head.

Villanova was as high as #4 and as low as # 20, lol.

The ACC is overrated with six Top 25's and the top three.

Oregon will change and move up as Dorsey, Brooks and Bell decided if they are coming back. all of these are based on all 3 leaving but not sure I see that happening.

Yeah, really depends on who stays and who leaves. I'm of the thinking that if NWG and Collins stay then Gonzaga should be the #1 team next year, but that's doubtful if those guys stay.

I'm pretty sure Goss will stay. Collins is predicted lottery. Gone.

Yeah I think Collins is gone too. So Jonathan Williams will be paired with either Tillie or Larsen(who was projected to be a better player). If Collins does leave, I'm sure Few will snag a grad transfer ala Jordan Mathews, who will be a solid contributor. Should still be a top 10 w/out Collins I would guess.

Xavier should be higher. And this is coming from someone who hates Xavier. They have a top 10 recruiting class incoming. And if Bluiett comes back, they could go all the way. SMU should be in the Top 25 too.

Cincinnati is gonna make some noise next season with nearly everyone returning. I don't trust Cumberland in the starting 5 since he's not a good defender. I hope he improves during the summer.

Oregon not being in the top 25 is a complete joke. Even if Bell, Brooks and Dorsey leave.

actually if all three leave it wouldnt surprise me to see them step back.
Pritchard and Benson are proven starters. after that what do you have? Bigbee Williams? good enough to give a few guys some rest but be real he didnt do much. Smith could be solid but more of a def than anything. recruit Brown? relying on Freshman isnt always the best way to go.
but thats only if all 3 leave. if even 1 comes back you would see Oregon jump into the teens easily.

You have to remember, if all 3 leave, they will bring in some top freshmen and transfers. There's a lot of talented guys who will be in Eugene if all 3 leave (which is unlikely). Will they step back? Sure but they will still be in the top 4 in the PAC.

Good to see my Tar Heels at #3. We'll see if they will live up to that ranking next year.

There are plenty of teams that will have a ton of roster turnover and be ranked In the top 10. It's the new normal in college hoops

Right now Oregon has a top 15 class that consists of 3 players(one 5 star, one 4 star, one 3 star) If Oregon lands Brandon McCoy(5 star out of CA) that'll likely push them to about 6/7 in terms of recruiting ranking. If all 3 leave, and they land that type of class, I think they'll be a top 25 type of team, but it's hard to replace 3 guys that impactful with only two 5 star guys and a 4 star and 3 star. Plus lets not forget they also lose Boucher and Ennis, so Oregon would need to replace it's top 5 guys.

Pretty surprised Wisconsin couldn't crack the top 40.

They're are going to look completely different. Outside of the NCAA Tournament games, they were a fringe top 25 team this year, and they lose 4 starters off that team.
