Not sure TKO and Bar have NHL Network in Canada, but you guys must watch the documentary "Slap Shot at 40."


It is showing twice this Saturday the 25th.
Then showing twice again on Monday the 27th.
After Monday, looks like it's gone for good.

actually have a replica chiefs hockey jersey - wife and I were in the St. Louis Mardi Gras parade one year with some friends, the float theme for the year was famous groups of 3, so we did Slap Shot/The Hansen Bros.

People didn't let us into a party because they thought the fake blood on my face was real. Good times.

St Louis and MLS bid

seeing a lot of back and forth locally, nay sayers pointing to the failed NFL teams, pro-MLS'ers pointing to the Cardinals and how active and successful they are within the community.

personally, since I like playing and watching futbol, I want the team to come here. And as a St Louis city tax payer, don't mind the investment required either. We have loads of youth soccer, a couple semi-pro teams already in town, folks around here fill up Busch stadium for soccer events, seems like a good fit for both.
Not even taking into consideration all of the rich soccer history STL has.
(when NCAA first started having a soccer championship, Mich St and SLU were the teams, pretty much everyone else sucked. SLU was almost 100% St Louis kids, Mich St was a mixture of St Louis kids and South American transfers.)

I doubt the MLS comes knocking on STL's door again in the next 5-10 years or so if this opportunity walks. Time to do it is now.

big city folks have to pay extra for some of the finer things in life, LOL!

most places around here wings are around .50 each, some bars run specials and have them even cheaper on certain nights of the week. becomes tougher to avoid them than to find them on special somewhere.

my latest favorite comes from a micro brew/restaurant place in my hometown - I have them mix their garlic sauce with their spicy wing sauce, not technically on the menu, and it's good stuff.

Even at 50 cents each it's still a scam IMO.
Most useless part of the chicken with the least amount of meat.
Might as well sell chicken necks at .50 cents each.
Almost as bad as crab legs. All that cracking and tweezering for a pinky's worth of meat.
Just drop a giant slab of meat on my plate and that would be worth it.
