I think due to the fact that the Seahawks are already at 4 losses, there is this perception that our defense has seriously regressed. When you take a look at the stats, that's not the case:

2014: YPG: 285.8 (1) Pass YPG: 199.4 (2) Rush YPG: 86.3 (5) Pts/G: 18.4 (4)
2013: YPG: 273.6 (1) Pass YPG: 172.0 (1) Rush YPG: 101.6 (7) Pts/G: 14.4 (1)

The stats are pretty similar. I think the biggest difference is that the defense has not created as many turnovers as last year, which has contributed in the overall regression in W/L record.

I attribute that to other teams playing more cautious playing us,they rarely throw to where Sherman is and of course some injuries.

Those numbers are great, and they should get even better with another game against each San Francisco and Arizona. SF's offense is in shambles, and Arizona may be lucky to field a full NFL capable offense by the time we meet them again. Philly coul give them problems, but with the defense as healthy as it has been this year, I expect less offense from the Eagles. St. Louis' offense is hit and miss, but has been playing better of late, so they could be difficult as well. In the end, the Seahawks could feasibly hold at least their last 3 opponents under 10 and possibly all 4.

you forgot some of the biggest ones. Sacks, Turnovers, 3rd and 4th down conv %

2014 teams convert 3rd downs against into firsts at about 41% and 4th downs against at 57.1%, Defense average about 1.5 take aways per game and get like 1.6 sacks per game.

2013 teams converted only 35.2% of 3rd downs against and only 36.4% of 4th downs against, Defense averaged about 2.4 take aways per game and got like 2.75 sacks per game

these are huge drop offs in 2014 and these are more important stats than yardage, and points because these stats tend to get teams off the field reducing ToP and or give the offense shorter fields to work with.
