are we just onto these kids before everyone else?

dont seem to see very many of our recruits getting courted by big schools

I noticed that too, I think it is mostly because they are going for guys that fit what our team is building towards, and nobody else has the same "ideals" that we do.

im not questioning the choices, but we arent out there fighting for the big names (very often)

and i dont care if we only pick up 2 star kids if we can win with them.
just odd.... was it last year we went after this kid in ohio and no one else wanted him until he gave a soft verbal to us, then other teams gave him a second look and he went to ohio state

We're out WAY earlier on these kids than we were last year.

This kid will likely be a 3-4 star JC

I tried to find who recruited him out of HS and what his rating was then but I can't find anything.

The only thing that worries me about these early commits that we keep getting is somewhere in Oct or Nov they'll jump ship. I watch this happen year after year, too bad you can't actually have them sign when they commit early.

umm...if we improve on last year, I don't see anyone jumping ship. Even if we improve a single game, and go 11-3, we will probably be in the top ten year round, and possibly finish with a BCS bowl.
