I guess people forget that Kipper played 70+ games a season between the pipes for the Flames and was the main reason for the run to the Cup in '04 as well as keeping the Flames in the playoff hunt over the last several seasons. You could make the argument that he was the Flames MVP for his entire tenure with the team.

Geez, these kinds of posts from so-called Flames fans really bother me.

Also, I don't care how it looks, but I think Hartley should be canned. Why are the young guys who are showing effort getting benched in favour of floaters like Tanguay and Squidy? I mean, how can the young guys improve and gain confidence if they'll only getting 8-10 minutes of ice time a game? Enough with pandering to the vets based on salary and/or seniority, give the guys ice time who deserve it based on how they are playing that game combined with developing the young guys. If you do want to do that, then move aside and let somebody else coach the team who will embrace that filosofy (or philosophy).
