FarhanLaljiTSN: Im told ownership will definitely not make a move with Torts or Gillis until after the season (barring another 'hallway' incident of course)

Good, good.

verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry interesting development imo

the canucks are big fans of blue water cafe

maybe Frankie takes Gillis, Torts, and BOOTH out for lunch one day and tells them all that they should try the house specialty ... "poisson rouge"

only its oddly spelled "poison rouge" on the menu

/this might work!!!

@canucksrepublic: Karen clip @TEAM1040 did it's best to blame @strombone1 for hurting Nucks playoffs chances for FLA loss to PHX last night. Good grief

from yesterdays provies by the stanchion

There is still a portion of fans who have “Believe!” painted on their faces, as they patiently await their 2014 Canucks playoff t-shirts to go on sale, but the majority of fans have moved past the point of being sad about losses and have embraced cheering on getting better draft positioning.

It’s an odd reversal for Canucks fans, who have enjoyed a long run of success, but there isn’t much room to argue that losing is the best option for Vancouver right now.

It would be amazing if it got to the point where people booed goals on home ice, and started calling into radio stations, up in arms about Burrows and his “stupid freaking point streak”.

“When is it going to end?? I mean, you GOTTA put Burrows on the fourth line, he is just scoring way too much out there. Hell, I’d even think about benching him. He’s setting a bad example for Jensen and Kassian with all of his scoring.”

I'd rather get a lower draft pick and instill a winning attitude with the team than foster a situation that encourages losing. That said, come up with a different way to conduct the draft lottery and tanking becomes a moot point.

I think the Sedins and Burr will be alot better next year ... they need to trade kesler for youth ... if it means to Anaheim at the draft so be it. im surprised they havent hit the ncaa free agents hard since they are desperate for young depth but i guess theres still a few players on teams that are still alive :noidea:

I've said this a few times on here already and I'll say again - a lot of teams in this league should be going hard after defenseman Christian Folin - he's going to be a good d-man in this league for many years, he can step right in and play right now and the Canucks could use that

If Gillis can pry Etem+ out of Anaheim for Kesler, that would be a pretty good start. Heck, with former Tigers Etem and Shinkaruk (good chemistry in junior), I might ever start liking the team again.

:bolt:

yep Id do that at this point ... division rival be damned ... though that hip labrum surgery Shinkaruk had almost certainly makes him a write off for next year ... interesting that he said he was dealing with the hip soreness for almost 2 years and yet he was so strong (final cut) in preseason

canucks went after him last year and he decided to go back to school so Im sure they are trying again this year ... I wonder if recruiting Folin is Markus Naslunds first job as a canucks assistant GM (alledgedly!)

I think Gillis should be trying like heck to get Sami Vatanen too, but Emerson Etem would be a pretty good start
