Oh God. Jay Gruden loves him some Colt McCoy. The guy has no long term future here as a starter, or anywhere for that matter, but you know at some point he will go there next year.

This is on Robert though. If Robert can't keep this guy on the bench next year, than we really did blow 2 1st and a 2nd.

Colt has no business, no business playing in front of Kirk though.

Our best Quarterback is returning! Woohoo!! If the neck injury is fully healed, he will be able to throw those 50 yard deep throws to Djax(will have to lead him though lol).

We signed a good backup for a 1yr deal at a reasonable price.

You could spin...that this dismisses MM speculation, but then again, to me, if you did take MM, it would be Cousins or Griff that would be traded away.

It only fuels the fire for drafting Mariota they can trade RG3 or Cousins have one of them start McCoy as the backup giving Mariota a year to develop

It could just as easily mean that SM did NOT like what he saw at Oregon in MM and that is why Colt was resigned. It's all speculation.

Only problem I see is having Colt resigned with a designation of starter on him. And that's not the case here.

Btw, does anyone else really believe that there won't be a QB competition this year? I don't buy Jays statement at all. He looked like he was at a hostage negotiation when he made that statement.
