I’d pass on the bowl gifts from those bowls.
Not so fast. You might need one from the PrepH after having to sit through that shit bowl for 3+ hours.

Can we get Jason Sudeikis and Will Forte to call the Vagisil bowl? :noidea:

I mean that would be worth tuning in for.

True, true. And if one of Droider’s 67 teams make that bowl, the Vagisal gift card could definitely come in handy.

Out of 130 FBS schools there should be approximately 65 with 6 wins which should make for 33 Bowl games. Just who are they accepting that doesn't have 6 wins?

I like it when they pair up an 11 or 12 win Mid-major team with a 8-9 win major conference for team. That's a good test for both teams and anything could happen. But we find out just how good these teams are.

That number presumes only FBS play FBS. All of those FCS games spread out around the league surely tip that to more 6-6 teams.

Or at least there are more wins than losses when all 130 are added up because of those FCS gimmes.

But the distribution isn't equal so simple math won't give the answer.

If anything there should be a reduction in the # of bowl games not an increase. Should be no more than 25-30 bowl games.

In a quick hit count, I see 81 teams that were 6-6 or better last season.

The answer is 'everybody'.

The NCAA isn't going to get in the way of schools making money, and as long as a bowl can stay in business, people make money. The NCAA learned it's lesson and stays out of it.

Yeah since FBS schools schedule 1 or sometimes 2 FCS teams on their schedule there will be more 6 win teams than I originally figured. They should only count wins against FBS teams.

Myrtle Beach??? :wtf:

Don't get me wrong, I love the place, and it's awesome in the summer, but in the late fall/early winter, there's not a damn thing to do there other than board up your windows for the hurricanes.

I guess this is Coastal Carolina trying to pull a Boise State, and host their own game? That's the only stadium around there

Golf, dude! There's more golf courses in MB than there are water slides and putt putts. But yeah, that's it.

Great, so we are now adding the Vagisil stop feminine itching bowl, The Preparation H relief bowl, and Honey Bucket bowl.

Can't wait.

Sounds like a perfect bowl for Husky Stadium.

They did that for 2 years and the FCS schools complained. Those FCS
schools are still considered Div 1 schools. They have a vote on the
Floor of NCAA conventions and rule changes. The NCAA backed down
from the FCS schools. But because they backed down there, they
were able to get a compromise when they expanded the NCAA basketball tournament to 68 teams. At first they were going to hve
those 4 play-in games between the conf champs of the lesser leagues. Because the lesser leagues far out number the big boys,
they forced a vote on the floor of the NCAA. Well the NCAA knew
that the vote would be for 8 at-large teams to play-in and all Conf
Champs would begin on Thursday or Friday.

The NCAA cashed in their chips and reminded them that they gave
in to allowing their games to count toward bowl eligibility for the
big boys (and get them needed guarantee money for their football
programs.) The vote never happened. They compromised again
and the play-in games feature 4 conf champs and 4 at-large teams. FCS games aren't going to go anywhere.

86 bowl eligible teams needed going forward 82 were eligible last season
only 70 something in 16 had to use 5-7
15 also needed 5-7 teams
14 had 85 eligible 6-6 or better.
13 had 82
12 had 76
so its not impossible but the numbers fall short more often than making it.

Actually it is 84.

The NC game is considered one of the 43, and the NC game is
a play-in game from the 2 semi-final games.
