I believe your opinion is spot on.

I started thinking that when I noticed that the site had us losing to Bama by 1
at a neutral site and later on losing to Louisville, by 11, at home.

I then looked at my watch to determine exactly how many minutes of my life
I had wasted and would never be able to get back, reviewing a bunch of the teams.

Nothing wrong with the site. It stated what it is measuring. Pythagorean Theorem was developed for baseball. It simply uses runs scored and runs surrended to derive a win total. I am guessing this edition is using lasts years stats to come up with their numbers, until they get current stats. It might be a great site by week 6, just pretty meaningless until then
