Looks like the AAC is really all it can be right now. UCF and Memphis are the only ranked G5 teams. Is it 18 or 16 they have to finish?

There is no more rank requirement. it is the highest ranked Conference champ of the G5 conferences. BCS had a requirement but NY6 does not.
but again has to be champ so for if lets say Memphis lost out and fell behind Houston and the AAC was Houston vs UCF and Houston won. If UCF only fell a little in the rankings but stayed ahead of Boise who is now at 25 and Boise won the MWC, Boise would get the auto bid.
