well i want him bc of some potentiall but he also has potential for nothing. the guy you want is an established top back

Then maybe look at a less estsblished back on your roster. Or if there is someone else more established on mine.

If it doesn't work it doesn't work. My boss always says sometimes the best trades are the ones you don't make.

You should be able to drop someone else, or drop someone before you make the deal if you're worried about it. If it's a deal you want to make.
