Gamecocks were jittery but held on. We've still got a lot of players who are used to success and the pressure of big games, so I'm hoping they will find the groove quickly. We have a couple patsies and then Clemson in 2 weeks.

SEC got tougher with A&M getting added this year. I assume that's why the Aggies aren't getting a lot of respect in the polls.

I can see some great match-ups between Childress (A&M) and Van Horn (Arkansas) being that they used to coach together at Nebraska.

Van Horn gave Childress his start.

The Tigers won 2-0 yesterday over William and Mary. Shane Kennedy ripped a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 8th for the win. 5,947 in attendance, not too shabby.

A nice, comfortable 16-0 victory to start the season last night against a pretty pathetic team. They were so bad I had to look it up to find out we played Coppin State.

But I'm glad the defending national champions could take care of a team who went 1-53 with a 9.53 ERA, a 2.08 BA, a .302 OBP, and a .258 slugging percentage the last two years...

I know it's only the 2nd game of the season but this team (Clemson) looks just like the teams we've had over the last ten years. No energy, sluggish bats, questionable coaching strategy, midfielder's with no range, etc.
