Is that good? I'm not very up to date on all the assistant coaches in the football world and I don't recognize the name.

He was Asst. Head Coach and RB coach at UAB and worked under Saban as an offenseive GA from 2010-2012. He's also worked at Miss St. and Jacksonville St. With him working for Saban before, I figure Saban knows how he operates and feel it was probably a good hire.

Kirby got moved too inside Backers and former Chicago Bears secondary coach Mel Tucker is our new secondary coach.

Meh, he's been a successful DB coach in the past but his stint at da Bears wasn't impressive as a D coordinator. Maybe it works out, if nothing else the dude has experience and has worked for Saban before.

I think it will work out. Being a Bears fan, I'm supposed to hate this guy I guess, but I think he'll do a lot better in college, especially focusing on the DB's.

I'm a bears fan and I don't hate him. I'm glad he's not a DC for us, but I figure he must have been doing things right at the lower levels in order to get to that position.
