It seems like the Seahawks 3rd and long defense has not been very good under Richard. I don't know if the actual numbers bear that out, but it feels like that is the case.

Yes he was, and he has tons of experience as a linebacker coach and linebacker in the NFL also ... I would take him in a heart-beat... From an experience stand point he's been around the game for a LONG time...

I'd be good with the move as well.

He has made every roster for every team he has been with better except for maybe his short stint in Washington. His problem is the bottle has a hold on him.

May not be the only problem with him. Supposedly he doesn't play well with others. Has a reputation of seeking power by under cutting others in the organization. As for his reputation for making roster better...well that is questionable. There has been much debate on that subject when he left the 49ers .
While I tend to think most any GM that hits on a couple of drafts are over rated to some degree, I do think JS is a solid GM at the very least and one shouldn't over look how well him and Pete work together. Some thing that isn't true of many organizations around the league. Don't think it would be a good idea to break up that team work.
Highly doubt JS goes any where any time soon. He's going to be a part of the Seahawks organization for many years.

It has gone the other direction since he's taken over the defense... Not really going to hold this season over his head w/ all the injuries we've endured but we weren't that good when everyone was healthy...

Think the talent isn't what it was either. Take the LOB, obviously they were at the top of their game in 2013 vs 2017 even before the injuries. Same for Avril and Bennett. Obviously when the roster is at their peak makes the coaches look smarter, thus everyone thinking Quinn was some kind of genius, instead simply a good DC.

Clayton is saying GB filed some sort of request to interview Schneider and got denied. I guess that's good news, though that still doesn't completely close the door on that because there could be some sort of trade worked out. Maybe it's unlikely, but it's still possible. I guess we'll see how bad they want him. One interesting thing is yesterday the guys on 710 (I think it was B&S but not 100% sure) had a former GB front office worker on and he was fairly certain they would prefer to hire a GM from within. I guess he didn't quite get the bullseye on that, though it could end up that way if Schneider holds here.

I think if schneider went to paul allen and carroll and told them "trade me" they would almost have to do it. but who knows, maybe he doesnt want that job anymore

He didn’t asked for the “packer clause” like before, so think he good right where he’s at.

So that means Schneider sucks?

I thought it was interesting that they mentioned Marquand Manuel during the broadcast, I'm assuming he's ATL's linebackers coach?

they have hit on a few guys, like clark and lockett.

i think part of the problem is not having any high draft picks and going quantity over quality. also, having an offense that doesnt get much productivity out of anyone makes it hard to see what youve really got.
What? You do watch don't you?
Our TE caught 10 TD's.
Our QB sets records every year.
ADB rivals Brian Blades in his accomplishments as possibly the 2nd or 3rd best WR we have ever had.
We have had a RB that was feared by all, who is now gone.
There aren't many skill positions left.

Again, you fail to see anything good with the team as you are an anti fan. LOL.

Too lazy to look it up, but I thought recently I heard he had been hired to be the DC somewhere next year.

put any of our guys on other teams and they are more productive.

graham had his LOWEST output of his career outside of the TDs. all he did was catch TDs, which is great but he was criminally underused outside of that.

and 75 catches for baldwin? he should be breaking 100 every year with ease.

The last 2 years "Oh, they're not throwing Graham the ball in the red zone, they aren't using him right!!!!", this year, "Oh, they're not throwing Graham the ball outside the red zone, they aren't using him right!!!!!!!!". Maybe Graham being 2nd in the league in drops (7) had something to do with him not getting as many targets as you want him to. It isn't like he wasn't targeted. He was thrown to 6 times a game, which was second to only Baldwin. And, before you come in and claim 96 isn't enough because NO threw to him 125-150 times a year - even with our increased passing game - Wilson still threw 100 times few times this year than Brees did each year from 2011-2014. Yes, his 17% of targets is lower than his 20% in NO, but he's also since he's playing with a QB who tends to like to throw to his receivers, it may even be proposed that they forced the ball Graham's way just to get him involved.

and 75 catches for baldwin? he should be breaking 100 every year with ease.

Why? Why worry about his individual statistics, but even more importantly, why should he have 100 catches every year? He plays with a QB who spreads the ball around. Yeah, he led the team with 116 targets, but he, Graham, Lockett and Richardson got 2/3 of the passes - and only McKissic and Davis got any significant targets when they played (about 3 targets/game each) and Davis probably got half his as a result of broken plays.

Even if there were legitimately more targets to throw Baldwin's way - why should he have gotten them? He wasn't catching the balls like he has in the past. His 64.7% completion percentage was his lowest since 2012. And, even if that number was the highest among the WRs, Lockett wasn't far behind - and why shouldn't Lockett have gotten more targets than the 71 he got this year?

When you start to complain for the production of one player over the other then you look to diminish what the other players have to offer. Should Seattle have just cut Lockett and Richardson out of the offense just to see if Baldwin and Graham could get the numbers put up by Antonio Brown and Gronk?

The last 2 years "Oh, they're not throwing Graham the ball in the red zone, they aren't using him right!!!!", this year, "Oh, they're not throwing Graham the ball outside the red zone, they aren't using him right!!!!!!!!".

it took only 3 years to figure out how to to get him the ball in the redzone, something any other team would have figured out in a week. the fact is, bevell has no idea how to scheme for players or how to scheme against a defense. he runs a rigid offense and doesnt have what it takes to play chess. he is busy playing tiddly winks.

It isn't like he wasn't targeted. He was thrown to 6 times a game, which was second to only Baldwin. And, before you come in and claim 96 isn't enough because NO threw to him 125-150 times a year - even with our increased passing game - Wilson still threw 100 times few times this year than Brees did each year from 2011-2014. ya, sure, they threw it at him 6 times a game. they threw TE screens, they threw 1 yard dumpoffs. how many times did they hit him down the seem? if you put down your stat book and go back and watch the actual games, you will see just how bad it really was.

When you start to complain for the production of one player over the other then you look to diminish what the other players have to offer. Should Seattle have just cut Lockett and Richardson out of the offense just to see if Baldwin and Graham could get the numbers put up by Antonio Brown and Gronk?

lockett is another talented player that is criminally under utilized. when your O cant run the ball to save its life and your QB is leading the team by over 200 yards maybe its time to throw it more. but rigid bevell cant figure that out, just sticks to the same old same old and never adjusts his offense.

The door is closed. GB hired some guy in house for the GM spot.

That's the funniest shit I've read today. 'All the TD's are great, BUT....'

Awesome Snug.
