First start of 2016... Awful so far...

52 pitches not through 2 yet.. 5 earned. Can't hit any spots. Doesn't look comfortable at all. Gave up a 3-run bomb to Santana..

If Clay can't get it together the Red Sox rotation is in serious trouble. Now I know this is waaaaaaaaaaaay to early as this is only his first start of the season and people are bound to have a bad outing or two but the way he started doesn't give you much confidence in him.

Yeah Clay's start was horrid. But the magical bullpen was happy to oblige. Very disappointing. I understand there is still 160 games left but I hope we are not looking back at games and this being one where we could have easily won and got the L.

I also forgot how bad JBJ's arm is.

Kind of shocked Porcello is a 4 and they still have Bucholtz as the second. As good as Kelly was in ST I would have left him at 4, put Clay at 3 and keep Procello where he started last year as a 2. But what do I know.

Yeah that seems like a better rotation. But with Clay's thin skin the red sox probably thought that would hurt him even more being "demoted" to the 4th..

Good opening series for the team. Starting pitching is going to be an issue all year I think? No doubt they'll keep us awake. Sitting on the edge of your seat night after night either wear a seat belt or stay alert. Don't want to see any unecessary domestic injuries.

Series in Toronto wasn't bad ethier taking 2 of 3. Stevie Wright didn't pitch horrible today but we had virtually no offense beside the few early innings which we stranded.

Hope Price has his stuff tomorrow for that early one. I hate Baltimore (an their asshole fans) nearly as much as the pinstripe.

I was optimistic on opening day, not now. Price will be fine but there is not one current starter beyond him that I would trust. E Rod may be that guy but that still won't be enough.

I had no idea JBJ's arm was this erratic. He is only there for his defense but he gave up 2 runs with throws 20 feet offline. I'm pretty tired of waiting on this guy, one hot streak at the plate should not mask who he really is. But I love the young talent up and down this lineup with more on the way. The future is bright but unfortunately the future is not now.

welp, pretty soon he probably is going to have to trade some of these prospects to get pitching. Because if he doesn't the Red Sox will finish last yet again

I keep hoping that "this is the year" he makes most of his starts.
I know it's unlikely but when he throws that one brilliant game (a season) that he can keep repeating it. I am a silly man.
