Not really Cinderella since a lot of west coast writers pick BSU to place second or win the MWC this year. But, from a national perspective since the coverage of west coast hoops ends with the Pac-12.

They return all 5 starters from last year.

I'll throw in California. They made the field last year. Justin Cobb returns and may be the best guard in the PAC.

Elon University (SoCon). Davidson just about upset Marquette last year and this years Elon team should be as good or better than last years Davidson team.

I can name at least 5 guards better than him off the top of my head.

ASU could be a Cinderella Jahii Carson now has a consistent jump shot along with dominating more than any other freshmen last year.

Southeast Missouri State was picked to win the OVC West division this year!
Tyler Stone was the preseason player of the year. Look for big things from them this year!

Nick could have the most impact if he is consistent with his shot this year. But he will play really hard on defense, after the ASU game @ Mckale he was playing consistent defense and one of the best on ball defenders in the Pac he can shut down any guard when he wants to. I need to see him miss a game to see the impact he has though.

Justin Cobbs didnt impress me much last year @ ASU hes really inconsistant. You need to watch him play a good game to understand hes good, but one game he will play well and the other game he wont. To many 3s with him, he needs to settle down this year and just run the offense through Bird IMO. Still a good pg but not even top 3 in the Pac.

I think that Houston is a potential Cinderella team this year. Figures to be a much tougher conference schedule in the AAC than we've faced in the past in C-USA, but it looks as if we have considerably more talent and size than we have had in quite a long time. Finally have a competent PG in Baylor transfer LJ Rose, along with some depth at that position. Also love the size of our squad. 6-10 junior TaShawn Thomas, 6-7 sophomore Daniel House, and 6-10 freshman SG Danard "Chicken" Knowles could be a pretty formidable trio.

Also, I'm going to say Rutgers is a cinderella team. I have absolutely no idea how or why they were predicted to finish last in the AAC. They're athletic and Myles Mack is probably one of the most underrated point guards in the country.

I don't see anyway they finish last.
