Well,

First departure of the coaching staff. Martin is going to Miami-OH. Wonder if Kelly is going to promote from within or land a top flight OC out there.

I have mixed feelings. I think Kelly spends too much time calling the plays, he should delegate. So to that end, they should bring in a very seasoned and experienced OC. On the other hand, I would love to see a guy like Tony Alford, who has been crucial to our recruiting success over the years, get a chance to show what he can do beyond being a position coach. Alford is beloved by the players and recruits love him. I don't know what his playcalling acumen is, but, being a RB coach, would have more of an affinity to the running game, if he could talk Kelly into it.

I'm not surprised, it is a blow but I have faith they will replace him.

How is this a big blow? Did anyone else see any of the play calling this season?

It's always a blow losing a OC or a DC but that's why I don't think of it as a big blow, they can get in someone better I feel.

If we had to lose one I'd rather it was him. Hope he does well.

We are 77th in points scored this year. This year we had a pass happy offense with a limited and turnover prone QB. Last year our offense was anemic and we went 12-1 because of our defense. Good news to me. Should be easy to find someone that can do better than that.

I do as well, at least being in Ohio he'll have plenty of kids to recruit, not the as high profile as the kids he's been recruiting at Notre Dame but he's going to a state with plenty of talent unlike Molnar.

U guys are Forgetting we had Rees as our Starting QB. We went to the NCG with him being the OC. Lets not forget about that. This is a big blow. I rather have lost Diaco. He had a lot of talent on that side of the ball and the D didn't play well until the end of the year.

This year we are 77th in points scored averaging 27.1 points per game. Last year our offense was worse averaging 25.8 points per game. Did you forget that we had an incredible defense last year and a below average offense? We won games last year because of our defense. This year's defense yields 22.9 points per game and last years defense gave up 12.8 points per game and you would rather get rid of Diaco? And guess what, we would have lost 4 games last year if our defense would have given up 10 more points per game. Our offense sucks and it sucked last year even more with Golson. Hey Chuck Martin, kiss my ass, you suck! Good riddance!

I'm pretty sure Kelly called the plays last year, but I could be wrong.
